Shake Rattle & Roll (Active Learning Method)
Have Fun & Play On, with our Active-Learning method for our little movers and shakers. This class offers a fun way to get an early start in developing their motor skills and create a foundation of physical literacy. We engage children with popular kid’s music, books and exciting toddler-friendly, equipment such as parachutes, fluff balls, tumbling mats and floor beams. These apparatuses encourage cooperative behavior while improving cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, and balance. Parents and caregiver are encouraged to participate with children ages 1-2.5. However, children ages 2.5-4 will gain independence with other children their age as creating team work, when a parent is not present.
Parachute Play (Active Learning Method)
Sweat NJ KIDS, Parachute Play class is apart of our Active Learning Method. This curriculum will build confidence and help develop the foundations of physical literacy. Parachute play is fun and it provides all children opportunities to participate successfully as part of a large group activity. Instructors integrate non-locomotor and locomotor skills while, introducing new ways to practice creative imagery and enhance rhythm and timing. Moving a large parachute encourages cooperative behavior among children while improving cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, flexibility, and balance. Our lessons and music are age appropriate.
Tiny Tots (ages 18 months – 2.5) (Active Learning Curriculum)
This curriculum offers tiny tots an introduction to sports through fun activities, songs and games. This class allows them to kick, toss and crawl though hoops and tunnels. With the use of colorful and stimulating equipment your child will be guided through creative activities that develop strength, coordination and balance. Children gain basic sports skills while building fundamentals such as balance and coordination. Classes incorporate activities that are geared toward a toddler’s unique way of learning and include parachutes, bubbles, noodles, cones, lots of goal scoring and more.
Animal Avengers (Active Learning Curriculum)
Animal Avengers offers important components of a child’s physical activity experience. Sweat NJ KIDS Animal Avengers curriculum is primarily designed to increase abilities such as coordination, flexibility, agility, and strength. In addition to these physical elements, children learn important personal lessons such as self-confidence and initiative; and as movements are not mastered immediately, perseverance and dedication. Lessons presented in this unit include animal movements, single-leg balances, line walking, creative stunts, and simple partner activities – which also foster cooperation and trust. Key academic areas addressed include art, literacy, mathematics, and music. All lessons are age appropriate.
Sports & Fitness A,B,C’s (Ages 2.5-6) (Active Learning Skill-Curriculum)
Kids just want to have fun! We make it possible through sports and exercise, while improving their Motor Skills, Confidence, Hand-Eye Coordination, Sport Skills and Athletic development. Your child will learn the A,B,C’S of Fitness (Agility, Balance, Coordination and Strength Training drills), as well as, an introduction to the basic components and benefits of cardiovascular, conditioning and endurance training. We apply age appropriate sport drills and fitness games to all classes.
SUPERHEROES IN TRAINING (2.5-6 YEARS) (Active Learning Skill-Curriculum)
Superheroes in Training has been created by Professional Athlete and owner of Sweat NJ Kids, Gina Trochiano, for children 4-7 years of age. This curriculum adds a superpower-twist into gym-class while infusing math and reading literacy skills. This 8-week program will teach your child the A,B,C’S of Fitness (Agility, Balance, Coordination and Strength Training drills), as well as, an introduction to the basic components and benefits of cardiovascular, conditioning and stretching. Each session will be inspired by a superhero instrumental-music and powered by primal movements that our little hero possesses. At the end of our 8-week session we invite parents to attend our fitness-performance.

Academic Beats is a Drumtastic program that incorporates math and reading literacy skills through dance and fitness-drumming. This super-fun and unique, educational fitness curriculum is designed for grades Pre- K to middle school. We combine the benefits of a traditional physical fitness program with the brain affected benefits of music and rhythm. Our program fosters a healthy balance physically, mentally, emotionally and socially! At the end of our 8-week session we invite parents to attend our Drumtastic recital.

Healthy & Fit Kids: Nutrition, Muscles, Exercises (Ages 4-7) (Active Learning Method)
Let’s challenge our children’s curious minds to develop an active, positive lifestyle through wellness! This class has been created by a mom and NY/NJ Board Certified Holistic Health Coach and Professional Athlete to teach, students a basic understanding of Nutrition, Kinesiology and Exercise, including portion sizes, healthy foods and snacks, pairing and physiological body movement and its muscle groups through FUN and ENGAGING nutrition, fitness and dance games.
Integrating hands-on learning joined with music and activity, will help teach children the importance to their well-being and increase the chance that physical activity will become a permanent part of their daily lives. Once children begin to regularly incorporate proper nutrition and fitness into their experience, they are more likely to modify other health factors to complement their healthy lifestyles. All sessions will be age appropriate!
Hero’s in Theater (Active Learning Curriculum)
Sweat NJ KIDS presents HERO’S IN THEATER! This hilarious fitness inspired skit, pay homage to the 80’s, though inspiring catch phrases, such as “I Pity the Fool” (A-Team), “Care bear stare!” (Care Bears) and “By the power of Greyskull” (He-Man). This fun and imaginative class, gives children a space to explore new activity, become animals, and transform into a heroic character! Your child will have a blast while exercising, acting, turn-taking and sharing games that emphasize teamwork. At the end of our 8-week class, parents are invited to watch their children perform in our little fitness inspired play and bring back memories of your own. No experience necessary, every child is welcome to participate in a non-competitive ensemble environment to showcase what make them a HERO.
SOCCER SKILLS (Ages 4-5) (Ages 5-7) (Ages 7+) | Active Learning Skill-Curriculum
Children will refine the fundamentals of Soccer. Kids become engaged with others in their community, learn teamwork and build confidence. Through repetitive skill work, players will develop better listen skills and coordination skills. All aspects of the game will be covered. Coaches utilize cones, ladders, hurtle and challenging drills to take their game to the next level. All sessions will be age appropriate!
BASKETBALL SKILLS (Ages 4-5) (Ages 5-7) (Ages 7+)
Active Learning Skill-Curriculum
Through repetitive skill work, players will develop better listen skills and coordination skills. All aspects of the game will be covered: ball- handling, shooting, passing and defense while focusing on developing each player’s individual skills with the use of agility cones or ladders, defense apparatus. Kids may be giving team jerseys and will be evaluated at each session, to move to the next level. Levels are based on listen and sport skills.
HIP HOP (Ages 4-6)
Join this class and your child will learn a variety of different types of dance moves to their favorite music of the time. Class features music favorites such as “Animal Action,” “Shake your Sillies Out,” and “Move and Freeze,” as well as learning basics of ballet, modern, and hip hop as students learn to leap and turn across the floor. Each week we concentrate on gross motor skills, such as rhythm, balance, and coordination as well as group skills. We will also incorporate the use of props to spark the children’s’ imaginations. Students will gain strength, flexibility and confidence!!!

MOMMY AND ME DANCE (18 MONTHS-3 YEARS)
This class is a great way to introduce a loved one to a dance program. It is designed for two-year-old with caregiver participation to develop coordination, movement and dance in a fun, friendly and positive environment. Class registration includes an hour of open play (must be used before or after class).
Barre with Me (6 months+)
Two bars, One Mom! Our full-body workout that combines ballet-based movements, weight conditioning, core-focused exercises, and stretching all with your little one sitting securely and close to your heart. This class is for the absolute beginner to the seasoned barre enthusiast. We will include barre work, center floor exercises and stretching, as well as the introduction and application of the feet, arm, and body positions. Class will be customized to accommodate all levels.
